BOYER Michel
Michel Boyer is a french designer and decorator.
Keeping the family tradition : artisans, architects.. , he works in André Arbus workshop. He graduate the Arts Déco school and the Paris Beaux-Arts.
In 1968, He run his own agency and works for famous clients like Elie de Rotschild or Liliane Bettencourt. His first important project is the interior decoration of the Rotschild bank rue Lafitte in Paris. It follows then a lot of creations for Lanvin, Dior, Balmain... or head offices for Elf, Total, Paribas. He became ambassador of the french style when he decorates the french ambassy in Brasilia (1975) and in Washington (1985).
The creations of Michel Boyer plays with the full and the empty. He uses the materials of his time ; stainless steel, plywood, fiberglass…
Considering that architecture is a global art he has appealed to alot of artists to decorate his realisations. For exemple with Claude Lalanne in the reception room of the french ambassy in Brasilia.
Michel Boyer’s work oscillates between luxury and harmony, audacity and tradition and set new standards in the 70’s.
