History:

This armchair was created for the Grenoble City Hall, where Joseph-André Motte was commissioned to design the interior furnishings.
As stated by the Ministry of Culture: “This major work by architect Maurice Novarina, in collaboration with Jean Prouvé and Joseph-André Motte, represents a remarkable example of a total work of art within the civic architecture of the mid-20th century.”
